Cafayete FC's Mauro Ixidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Ishmael in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match, Omar Asad tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Godfredo Silbestre saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilazki Abadie in the 7th minute of play forced Cafayete FC's goalkeeper Mauro Ixidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pumas Fútbol Club booed when Cafayete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sevdalin Nikolaev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Ixidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Blanco in the 15th minute of the match. Segundo Jerold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cafayete FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Arturo Haritzeder hit a great ball. Mauro Ixidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilazki Abadie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Tiburcio Ishmael left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pumas Fútbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Pumas Fútbol Club's Tiburcio Ishmael sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Ixidor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Ishmael in the 37th minute of play forced Cafayete FC's goalkeeper Mauro Ixidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gaudencio Cefero hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 42 minutes of play, Pumas Fútbol Club's Tiburcio Ishmael made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Ixidor was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute, Ilazki Abadie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pumas Fútbol Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agustin Nalo to make the kick off. Omar Asad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Godfredo Silbestre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Silbestre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Asad, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Tobias Cisco struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Godfredo Silbestre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cafayete FC. Ilazki Abadie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mauro Ixidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Asad scored 1-3 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godfredo Silbestre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pumas Fútbol Club's Dedê Arce shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 68th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mauro Ixidor but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Asad in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godfredo Silbestre saved Pumas Fútbol Club from getting behind. In the 77th match minute, Cafayete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damaso Ilazki to maneuver through the defense. Agustin Nalo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Mauro Ixidor made a huge save. Pumas Fútbol Club's Godfredo Silbestre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Cefero in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, Cafayete FC's Mauro Ixidor got control of the ball when Tiburcio Ishmael tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 91 minutes, Omar Asad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cafayete FC and the Pumas Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mauro Ixidor came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pumas Fútbol Club's Tiburcio Ishmael. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Ishmael quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Cafayete FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
