With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Ariztimuño in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carmelo Ihazintu saved C.A Talleres from getting behind. When Fabricio Sauveur fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético San Martín's protests and gave Fabricio Sauveur a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of C.A Talleres booed when Atlético San Martín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Sauveur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th match minute, C.A Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Jacinto Ariztimuño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C.A Talleres's Carmelo Ihazintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Quilino in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, C.A Talleres's Carmelo Ihazintu got control of the ball when Fabricio Sauveur tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Atlético San Martín left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.A Talleres.
