The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Paolo Maties kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Vachon. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Los Potrillos's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Maties came free, but Bruno Vachon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Augusto Berriotxoa fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Potrillos's protests and gave Augusto Berriotxoa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Augusto Berriotxoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Paolo Maties shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Vachon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Ekain in the 23rd minute. Bruno Vachon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Ekain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvio Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Los Potrillos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Celedonio Ekain scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Vachon, making the score, 2-0. A collision led to Duro de Roer AFC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Federico Lluques hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Paolo Maties had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Vachon. Los Potrillos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paolo Maties was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Bruno Vachon was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Paolo Maties capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paolo Maties really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Bruno Vachon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Maties, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Paolo Maties made the kick off in the second half. Bruno Vachon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Maties, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Los Potrillos's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Ekain came free, but Bruno Vachon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duro de Roer AFC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Los Potrillos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paolo Maties took the corner. The corner led Duro de Roer AFC's Paolo Maties to fire away a dangerous shot which Bruno Vachon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Potrillos's zone, Celedonio Ekain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Vachon came out of the goal and Celedonio Ekain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 59 minutes, Celedonio Ekain made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Los Potrillos's Bruno Vachon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Los Potrillos defense, Paolo Maties kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Vachon. The Los Potrillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Vachon should have stopped the shot. In the 70th minute Celedonio Ekain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Los Potrillos's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Maties came free, but Bruno Vachon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Vachon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Lluques in the 73rd minute of the match. Bruno Vachon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Maties in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Celedonio Ekain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duro de Roer AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Bruno Vachon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Maties in the 94th minute of play. Los Potrillos's Bruno Vachon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Ekain in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Duro de Roer AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
