Guido Ler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to river FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rolando Katia hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Richard Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Rangers's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionel Cândea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the game, Armando Sotero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ionel Cândea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rosendo Balesio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Hanot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Balesio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Hanot in the 24th minute of the match. Fernan Henry's late challenge caught a AC Rangers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Sotero was the one to do the kick off. After 87 played minutes river FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Katia. river FC's Ionel Cândea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save river FC from getting a goal against them.
