A collision led to The Hanging Tree getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Dani Stone hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Corderro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Joey saved The Hanging Tree from getting behind. In the 32nd match minute, The Hanging Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Moise to maneuver through the defense. Lucio Joey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Cidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Hanging Tree's goalkeeper Lucio Joey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gert-Jan De Witte made a kick off. The Hanging Tree's Lucio Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Corderro in the 85th minute of play. Luciano Corderro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucio Joey came out and tried to block the shot, but Luciano Corderro slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 92nd minute. The The Hanging Tree manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Tunuyán to win.
