The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Brown's goal looked a bit too open when Josu Gómez came free, but Gualterio Tavio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaston Flores recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cristo Turi came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Arsenal F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristo Turi couldn't finish the play. Club Atlético Brown's Gualterio Tavio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Milito in the 10th minute of play. Clemente Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Gaston Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Hilario Bembe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Club Atlético Brown booed when Arsenal F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josu Gómez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Hilario Bembe made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Cordearo. Arsenal F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 31stth minute of the game Gaston Flores who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal F.C.'s Clemente Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Gaston Flores had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Cordearo. Arsenal F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaston Flores was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Cristo Turi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualterio Tavio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Cristo Turi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Tavio having to interfere. Arsenal F.C.'s Clemente Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Bembe in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Arsenal F.C.'s Marciano Hartz got a free kick in the 46th minute.
Club Atlético Brown were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Arsenal F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Damaso Mónos took the corner. In the 58th match minute, Club Atlético Brown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrzej Laskowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute of the match Arsenal F.C. got a corner. Club Atlético Brown's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marciano Hartz ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 63rd match minute, Arsenal F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Hartz to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Diego Milito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Tavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Bembe in the 70th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Hilario Bembe heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Diego Milito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Gaston Flores's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clemente Cordearo was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Arsenal F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Bembe came free, but Clemente Cordearo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Milito's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Brown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Milito helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Arsenal F.C.'s Diego Milito got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Club Atlético Brown booed when Arsenal F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Milito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualterio Tavio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Turi in the 90th minute of the match. Diego Milito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gualterio Tavio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Turi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualterio Tavio came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal F.C.'s Diego Milito. But to his dismay, Diego Milito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2.
