But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Cresconio couldn't finish the play. After 10 played minutes Plaza Jewell got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Playo. Gualterio Tavio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Cresconio in the 11th minute of the match. Alfredo Asur charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Asur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Brown's Alfredo Asur got a free kick in the 15th minute. Plaza Jewell's Pablo Mei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Asur in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Freddy Amato notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Club Atlético Brown's Gualterio Tavio. Gualterio Tavio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Plaza Jewell's Zabal Ubeda got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pablo Mei made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Gaston Flores sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Flores got free with Pablo Mei in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabio Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 34th minute of the match Alfredo Asur completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alfredo Asur a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 38 minutes, Freddy Amato made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético Brown's Gualterio Tavio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 minutes, Damaso Mónos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Brown and the Plaza Jewell players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético Brown getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Damaso Mónos hit a great ball. Gualterio Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Amato in the 42nd minute of play. Freddy Amato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Tavio having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Fabio Cresconio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Tavio was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Freddy Amato made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Brown's goalkeeper Gualterio Tavio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Cresconio. Damaso Mónos ran over to the corner to take the kick. 64 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Brown's goalkeeper Gualterio Tavio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Cresconio. In the 65th match minute, Plaza Jewell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ragnar Strömbom to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Freddy Amato put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gualterio Tavio. Freddy Amato succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. In the 82nd play minute Freddy Amato came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gualterio Tavio. 0-5. Club Atlético Brown made a substitution. Edgard Richie replaced Domingo Nalo. Gualterio Tavio was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Freddy Amato capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Freddy Amato really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Gaston Flores took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pablo Mei. Pablo Mei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. The Plaza Jewell supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Plaza Jewell would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
