Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carolo Urbez started the match with the kick off. Octavio Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Jerrald stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julio Panpili's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After some careless play in the Moreira AFC defense, Julio Panpili kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ildefonso Jerrald. The Moreira AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ildefonso Jerrald should have stopped the shot. When Julio Panpili came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Mailín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Panpili couldn't finish the play. Ildefonso Jerrald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Panpili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mailín's Arnaldo Miliano collided with an opponent after 21 minutes. He was hit so badly that he fractured his arm. Leopoldo Pacifico charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Pacifico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mailín's Severino Xacintu was substituted for Arnaldo Miliano. 27 minutes into the match, Mailín's Baldomero Lesardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ildefonso Jerrald narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Mailín's Severino Xacintu in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moreira AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Narciso Jordy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ildefonso Jerrald didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelo Montez went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Julio Panpili put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ildefonso Jerrald. Ildefonso Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Xacintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Melchor Curcio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Panpili in the 43rd minute of play forced Moreira AFC's goalkeeper Ildefonso Jerrald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mailín's Severino Xacintu got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julio Panpili was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Moreira AFC's Bernardo Acosta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luciano Socorro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When Leopoldo Pacifico was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. After 55 played minutes Moreira AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Pacifico. With a little luck, Moreira AFC's Ildefonso Jerrald got control of the ball when Severino Xacintu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Julio Panpili reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ildefonso Jerrald. The goal made the score 1-4. Bernardo Acosta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Socorro having to make a save. Julio Panpili received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ildefonso Jerrald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ildefonso Jerrald made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Julio Panpili sent off a good shot on target. Mailín were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Moreira AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabricio Nevada took the corner. 80 minutes into the match, Moreira AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Octavio Feliz came free, but Ildefonso Jerrald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Moreira AFC's goalkeeper Ildefonso Jerrald had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Xacintu. If Julio Panpili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Panpili in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ildefonso Jerrald saved Moreira AFC from getting behind.
