Pastor Gonsalve made in the 11th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pastor Gonsalve immediately put the ball in play. In the 13th minute, Carmelo Dino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 俞锋烽 was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 31st minute, Leo Lore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Locaio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Jairo Locaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Cordeara's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Conrado Lluciano put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jairo Locaio. 39 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Crispo came free, but Jairo Locaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to NEWELL´S OLD BOYS getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Robustiano Crispo hit a great ball. Arnulfo Oinatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 俞锋烽 having to interfere. Leo Lore took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jairo Locaio. Jairo Locaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

Conrado Lluciano kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Hermengildo Cordeara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jairo Locaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Cordeara in the 54th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Adan Otoniel in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Desiderio Florian. Jairo Locaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Cordeara, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Leo Lore kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. There was no doubt that NEWELL´S OLD BOYS were the better team. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
