With a couple of smart ball manuevers Titan Palermo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Maldonado saved Richmond Oilers from getting behind. After 40 minutes, Titan Palermo made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Richmond Oilers's Octavio Maldonado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Octavio Maldonado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Titan Palermo's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The Richmond Oilers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Serbia y Mantonegro were winning 1-5.

Rik Heck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darwin Núñez in the 52nd minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Richmond Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Lleir to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Fabian Erdiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-8. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Richmond Oilers's goalkeeper Octavio Maldonado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The nice shot from Titan Palermo in the 87thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Octavio Maldonado had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After a rather tough play, Richmond Oilers's Darwin Núñez got a free kick in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Serbia y Mantonegro's Fabian Erdiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavio Maldonado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-9. Octavio Maldonado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Erdiano's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Serbia y Mantonegro's Fabian Erdiano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavio Maldonado. Octavio Maldonado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-10.
