Spectators: 7398 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 75) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Niceto Colon got the match started through his kick off. Fabian Nicholas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alonzo Jerardo having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Niceto Colon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jaime Lluis. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. The supporters of Sportivo Isla Verde booed when Olimpo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zacarias Navarro in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonzo Jerardo saved Sportivo Isla Verde from getting behind. Hector Guillerme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jaime Lluis made a huge save. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Isla Verde's goalkeeper Alonzo Jerardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amancio Jacob took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alonzo Jerardo. Alonzo Jerardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fabian Nicholas scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alonzo Jerardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 35 minutes of play, Olimpo's Zacarias Navarro made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alonzo Jerardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the match, Olimpo's Zacarias Navarro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alonzo Jerardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaime Lluis made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Domingo Behe sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute of the match Olimpo got a corner. Sportivo Isla Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Dos Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in David Dos Santos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sportivo Isla Verde's Alonzo Jerardo did a great save. Alonzo Jerardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Jacob, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zacarias Navarro to strike the kick off in the second half. Olimpo's Zacarias Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zacarias Navarro in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alonzo Jerardo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Sportivo Isla Verde's Alonzo Jerardo got control of the ball when Zacarias Navarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Sportivo Isla Verde's Niceto Colon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaime Lluis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 69th minute Amancio Jacob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Jerardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alonzo Jerardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Alonzo Jerardo was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Zacarias Navarro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zacarias Navarro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. Alonzo Jerardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Nicholas in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camilo Chabier got free with Alonzo Jerardo in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Navarro in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alonzo Jerardo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 87 played minutes Sportivo Isla Verde got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Ekain. Zacarias Navarro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Jerardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Olimpo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sportivo Isla Verde.
