The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Magyares United got a freekick which was hit by Cleto Olivar. Gaspar Mikelar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaspar Mikelar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Víctor Clabau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Cleto Olivar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The supporters of Santurce FC booed when Magyares United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Pes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Magyares United fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Magyares United's Gaston Dalmau looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cleto Olivar scored 0-5 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Mikelar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaspar Mikelar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Barto, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Magyares United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Olivar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Pes scored 0-11 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaspar Mikelar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaspar Mikelar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Santurce FC's zone, Gaston Dalmau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Mikelar came out of the goal and Gaston Dalmau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Cleto Olivar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gaspar Mikelar. Cleto Olivar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-17. Gaspar Mikelar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernabe Cresconio in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Magyares United getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Cleto Olivar hit a great ball. Magyares United played a much better game than Santurce FC and deserved their victory. The Santurce FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
