Zacarias Navarro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Nicolas Lidon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zacarias Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nicolas Lidon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Higinio Cresenciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patos FC and the Olimpo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Olimpo booed when Patos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Oskarbi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, David Dos Santos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Patos FC's Nicolas Lidon didn't even have to move. In the 14th minute Zacarias Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Lidon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Olimpo's Nicolas Lidon threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fabian Nicholas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zacarias Navarro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute Zacarias Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Lidon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Patos FC's Nicolas Lidon got control of the ball when Amancio Jacob tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Zacarias Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Lidon had great luck who in the 32ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Zacarias Navarro from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jaime Lluis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Cresenciano in the 34th minute of play. Zacarias Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpo's Jaime Lluis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Frichoso in the 47th minute of play.

In the 51st match minute, Patos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Clemencin to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Patos FC's zone, Zacarias Navarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicolas Lidon came out of the goal and Zacarias Navarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Patos FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Dos Santos came free, but Nicolas Lidon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 played minutes Olimpo got a freekick which was hit by David Dos Santos. When Olimpo's Zacarias Navarro in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Patos FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Zacarias Navarro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicolas Lidon was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Patos FC defense, Zacarias Navarro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolas Lidon. The Patos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolas Lidon should have stopped the shot. After 74 minutes, Arnulfo Tanio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpo and the Patos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Olimpo's Arnulfo Tanio got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to Patos FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Mauro Oskarbi hit a great ball. David Dos Santos, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nicolas Lidon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Navarro's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Lino Frichoso kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Nicholas in the 85th minute of play forced Patos FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Lidon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87th play minutes Zacarias Navarro shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Nicolas Lidon and just under the crossbar into goal. Olimpo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
