After a defensive mix-up in EL Diablo Volador's zone, Evelio Jerold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Abar came out of the goal and Evelio Jerold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliciano Errapel struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Domingos Abar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newton FC. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Octavio Nuno made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Paulo Gener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Valiente got free with Domingos Abar in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, EL Diablo Volador's Domingos Abar got control of the ball when Evelio Jerold tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Newton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Valiente to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to EL Diablo Volador getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Arnoldo Gaur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. When the match was over Newton FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than EL Diablo Volador throughout the match.
