After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Robustiano Oihenarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Maria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Oihenarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radomil Trela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radomil Trela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venancio Panpili, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 25th minute Generoso Txema shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomil Trela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radomil Trela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Oihenarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celestino Columbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Arnalt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Villa Maria FC's Generoso Txema nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Radomil Trela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Villa Maria FC's zone, Andreas Fredriksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Columbo came out of the goal and Andreas Fredriksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Fernan Soter in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MALBEC's Guaberto Arnalt. After the first half Villa Maria FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robustiano Oihenarte to make the kick off. Radomil Trela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Froilan Inguma in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes MALBEC got a freekick which was hit by Omar Chan. In the 56th minute, Venancio Panpili got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venancio Panpili received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Radomil Trela came out and tried to block the shot, but Venancio Panpili slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 60th minute. Celestino Columbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Fredriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 陈枫岩 kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Andreas Fredriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Oihenarte in the 74th minute of play forced MALBEC's goalkeeper Radomil Trela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th match minute, Villa Maria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Oihenarte to maneuver through the defense. If Andreas Fredriksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Chan struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Celestino Columbo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MALBEC. Radomil Trela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Oihenarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, MALBEC's Omar Chan got a free kick in the 90th minute. Radomil Trela was a little too slow when Robustiano Oihenarte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-3. The Villa Maria FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villa Maria FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
