In the 13th match minute, Cordoba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godtfred Laustø to maneuver through the defense. Diego Larra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Fonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Cordoba FC's Martin Olivar got control of the ball when Cristiano Ronaldinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee ignored Cordoba FC's protests and gave Flavian Londoño a yellow card for diving instead. But to his dismay, Cristiano Ronaldinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciro Fonso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Mitch Hearn notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Cordoba FC's Martin Olivar. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Cordoba FC's zone, Cristiano Ronaldinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesus Errando in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Olivar saved Cordoba FC from getting behind. Jesus Errando hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Juventud Unida S L's Jaime Benvide sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Olivar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Olivar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jesus Errando went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Juventud Unida S L players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
