In the 22nd minute Timoteo Dantae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonel Salvatore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bean Chili's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vladimiro Frasquito was slow to take the kick. During this time CSD Estación Chilavert's players had a chance to rest. Leonel Salvatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute, Clemente Constancio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alonzo Jakue made a kick off. Bean Chili's Leonel Salvatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Bean Chili from getting a goal against them. When Julio Aimar fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bean Chili's protests and gave Julio Aimar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Bean Chili was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Aimar to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the game, Bean Chili's Julio Aimar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rogelio Toribio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Jakue in the 65th minute of play forced Bean Chili's goalkeeper Leonel Salvatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
