After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Arcos's Godfredo Nicholas got a free kick in the 8th minute. Jeronimo Mikelats hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Club Atlético Arcos's Rafael Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Oso in the 11th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, Argentino de Merlo's Zeledon Oso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Errapel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aimilios Chatzos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the game, Argentino de Merlo's Zeledon Oso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Errapel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 30th match minute, Club Atlético Arcos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aimilios Chatzos to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Þrándsson got free with Isidoro Frutos in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Atlético Arcos were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Argentino de Merlo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lorenzo Opilano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Lorenzo Opilano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Isidoro Frutos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Manuel Oro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isidoro Frutos was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Manuel Oro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidoro Frutos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

51 minutes into the game, Zeledon Oso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Argentino de Merlo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Arcos the free kick. Isidoro Frutos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Oro, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Aimilios Chatzos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isidoro Frutos having to make a save. Rafael Errapel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Milian's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 62 minutes, Atilano Salomone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Argentino de Merlo and the Club Atlético Arcos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Atilano Salomone hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the game, Allan Þrándsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Arcos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Argentino de Merlo the free kick. When Fernan Naike fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentino de Merlo's protests and gave Fernan Naike a yellow card for diving instead. Fernan Naike hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 78th match minute, Argentino de Merlo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Naike to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Frutos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Oro in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match Club Atlético Arcos got a corner. Argentino de Merlo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lorenzo Opilano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Club Atlético Arcos's Lorenzo Opilano to fire away a dangerous shot which Isidoro Frutos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Argentino de Merlo's zone, Allan Þrándsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidoro Frutos came out of the goal and Allan Þrándsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fernan Naike got free in front of the goal in the 93rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Rafael Errapel was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Aimilios Chatzos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Frutos having to interfere. Aimilios Chatzos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle went the supporters of Argentino de Merlo were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Club Atlético Arcos side.
