Despite this Armindo Gonçalves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fabio Edorta took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Gonçalves. Armindo Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 39th minute Saturnín Mandacovic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Edorta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Armindo Gonçalves made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

River Plate De Lugano fully deserved thier win.
