Spectators: 7390 (Terracing: 5656, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) Santamarina FC's Higinio Lando started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armindo Gonçalves was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Alfredo Abeitia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredo Abeitia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Armindo Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Higinio Lando's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Alfredo Abeitia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santamarina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Abeitia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 14 minutes Romeo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Higinio Lando who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Santamarina FC's Higinio Lando to fire away a dangerous shot which Armindo Gonçalves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Lando in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Gonçalves saved Romeo FC from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Santamarina FC's Higinio Lando ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armindo Gonçalves. Armindo Gonçalves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Armindo Gonçalves made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Alfredo Abeitia sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Esteban Eladio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Higinio Lando took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Gonçalves. Armindo Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 28 minutes into the game, Danilo Lopes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armindo Gonçalves. Danilo Lopes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. In the 30th minute Arsenio Ursino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Alfredo Abeitia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santamarina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. 35 minutes into the game, Danilo Lopes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armindo Gonçalves. Danilo Lopes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. In the 41st minute, Higinio Lando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armindo Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Ilixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Santamarina FC were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Romeo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Higinio Lando took the corner. 77 minutes into the match, Romeo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Lopes came free, but Armindo Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Maxin got free with Camillo Schiacciacasse in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alfredo Abeitia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Silvio Ilixo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Gonçalves was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. Silvio Ilixo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Armindo Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santamarina FC. In the 88th minute Victorio Nesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Schiacciacasse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes Romeo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Higinio Lando who took care of the corner kick. Armindo Gonçalves came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Santamarina FC's Danilo Lopes. But to his dismay, Danilo Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. Santamarina FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
