In the 11th minute, Manuel Gervaso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Tonio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 14th minute, Tadeusz Narbut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Jonatan Iratze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremias Tonio. El Punta F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonatan Iratze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Fabio Edorta came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the River Plate De Lugano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Edorta couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Mariano Libertad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Tonio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 31 minutes into the game, Fabio Edorta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Jeremias Tonio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 34 played minutes River Plate De Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Saturnín Mandacovic. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Punta F.C's goalkeeper Jeremias Tonio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristian Cortez to make the kick off. With a little luck, El Punta F.C's Jeremias Tonio got control of the ball when Fabio Edorta tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Manuel Gervaso fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate De Lugano's protests and gave Manuel Gervaso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute of the match, Jonatan Iratze tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jeremias Tonio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jeremias Tonio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Gervaso in the 81st minute of the match. El Punta F.C's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mariano Libertad 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-11. In the 88th minute, one of El Punta F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Punta F.C. If Saturnín Mandacovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Punta F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Mariano Libertad scored to the left of an out of position Jeremias Tonio, making the score, 0-13. River Plate De Lugano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
