The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Vinicio Sindo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Deportivo Capiovy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vinicio Sindo couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Primitivo Chiappe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pang Han Xing. Deportivo Capiovy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Primitivo Chiappe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Deportivo Capiovy's Pang Han Xing got control of the ball when Leonides Rumaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, San Martín's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Sengrat came free, but Tomáš Pollák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match Leonides Rumaldo climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Pang Han Xing. When Luisito Abilio fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Capiovy's protests and gave Luisito Abilio a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Deportivo Capiovy got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Abilio. After some careless play in the Deportivo Capiovy defense, Hélio de Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pang Han Xing. The Deportivo Capiovy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pang Han Xing should have stopped the shot. Vinicio Sindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tomáš Pollák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Hélio de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Jaime Sengrat sped through San Martín's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomáš Pollák. Vinicio Sindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomáš Pollák having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Sengrat made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Rumaldo in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pang Han Xing saved Deportivo Capiovy from getting behind. In the 53rdth minute of the game Hélio de Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Capiovy's Pang Han Xing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Capiovy's zone, Leonides Rumaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pang Han Xing came out of the goal and Leonides Rumaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ambrosio Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Deportivo Capiovy's Pang Han Xing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio de Castro in the 61st minute of play. Pang Han Xing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Rumaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 minutes, Victor Ongile mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Martín and the Deportivo Capiovy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to San Martín getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Victor Ongile hit a great ball. In the 71st match minute, Deportivo Capiovy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Sindo to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Deportivo Capiovy's Jaime Sengrat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomáš Pollák narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pang Han Xing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Rumaldo in the 80th minute of the match. Hélio de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Pang Han Xing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pang Han Xing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio de Castro in the 87th minute of play. San Martín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Capiovy the free kick. Leonides Rumaldo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
