Ubaldo Kelemen hit a great ball. Aquiles Ponce hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Efrain Hernandez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Filomeno Geleberto. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Benicio Izquierdo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Onbera. Pereyra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Izquierdo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Benicio Izquierdo took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Onbera. Claudio Onbera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 36th match minute, Iglesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Aznar to maneuver through the defense. Iglesia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Donato Theodore scored to the left of an out of position Filomeno Geleberto, making the score, 2-4. 41 minutes into the match, Pereyra's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Izquierdo came free, but Claudio Onbera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Ubaldo Kelemen made a precise shot to the right of Claudio Onbera. Pereyra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. After some careless play in the Pereyra defense, Albano Errolan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Onbera. The Pereyra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Onbera should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 2-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benicio Izquierdo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Ubaldo Kelemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Onbera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Claudio Onbera managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Iglesia's Benicio Izquierdo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 55 minutes into the match, Benicio Izquierdo notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of Pereyra's Claudio Onbera. Claudio Onbera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efrain Hernandez in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Geleberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the match, Pereyra's goalkeeper Claudio Onbera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fulgencio Eli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Kelemen in the 73rd minute of play forced Pereyra's goalkeeper Claudio Onbera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Ruperto Montes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 minutes of play, Iglesia's Benicio Izquierdo made it 2-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Onbera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benicio Izquierdo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Claudio Onbera made a huge save. The Pereyra fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Iglesia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
