If Manuel Lizbeth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Geleberto came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by COLT 45's Donato Taurino. But to his dismay, Donato Taurino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. COLT 45's Americo Frichoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save COLT 45 from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Iglesia booed when COLT 45 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Beremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arturo Urko succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 41st playminute. Iglesia's Filomeno Geleberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Gar in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato Taurino was the one to do the kick off.
