In the 4th minute Olgierd Walaszkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Ihintza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primitivo Urritz got free with Eusebio Lluis in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Saul Eleazar fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferro General Pico's protests and gave Saul Eleazar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aguilas rojas booed when Ferro General Pico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Eleazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matias Roland hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Amancio Ihintza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Walaszkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd match minute, Aguilas rojas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Şania to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Tony Melo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amancio Ihintza. Ferro General Pico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tony Melo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ferro General Pico's Amancio Ihintza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olgierd Walaszkiewicz in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Primitivo Urritz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferro General Pico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Urritz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Aguilas rojas getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gaston Fidele hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Aguilas rojas's goalkeeper Eusebio Lluis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Primitivo Urritz. Ángel Di Mario kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Olgierd Walaszkiewicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Amancio Ihintza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

A collision led to Aguilas rojas getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Lorenzo Insigne hit a great ball. After 55 minutes of play, Ferro General Pico's Gregorio Baldovino made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Lluis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Olgierd Walaszkiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Aguilas rojas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olgierd Walaszkiewicz couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Lorenzo Insigne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Epifanio Leoncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Lluis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Urritz in the 80th minute of play forced Aguilas rojas's goalkeeper Eusebio Lluis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Ferro General Pico got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Urritz. Epifanio Leoncio scored 2-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eusebio Lluis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Ferro General Pico supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aguilas rojas's performance. The match ended with a win for Aguilas rojas.
