After 4 played minutes Retiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Gogo Austin. Elpidio Urre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gogo Austin went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 8th minute Victor Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Retiro FC's Denis Gipuzkoa got control of the ball when Venancio Bittor tried to sneak it across the goal line. C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's Elpidio Urre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Indar in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute Victor Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Victor Padro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Urre. C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Padro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 27 minutes of play, Retiro FC's Victor Padro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elpidio Urre was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmiro Indar during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Retiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Indar. Felipe Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elpidio Urre came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Retiro FC's Gogo Austin. But to his dismay, Gogo Austin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The referee gave C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Joel Uxio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Retiro FC's Denis Gipuzkoa. 1-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felipe Bermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Gogo Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Urre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute Felipe Bermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Gipuzkoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Bittor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Gipuzkoa having to interfere. Ildefonso Duarte was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 72 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Bermudo in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Gipuzkoa saved Retiro FC from getting behind. When Felipe Bermudo fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's protests and gave Felipe Bermudo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's Felipe Bermudo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gogo Austin charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gogo Austin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz booed when Retiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Austin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Padro got free with Elpidio Urre in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 89 minutes, Felipe Bermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Bermudo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Victor Padro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Felipe Bermudo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Gipuzkoa. Denis Gipuzkoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. Victor Padro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Elpidio Urre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz booed when Retiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 101 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Austin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The C. Atlético Sportivo Díaz supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Retiro FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Retiro FC.
