Atlético Sportivo Díaz's Osvaldo Abadia made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laureano Manny was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Geronimo Estavan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Bittor's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Laureano Manny firmly grabbed it by the left post.
