Ciriaco Jurgi hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Tacura's Osvaldo Ardiles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Arias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Cleto Arias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Ronaldo Gullit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Raul Perrando might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cleto Arias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Perrando ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute, Raul Perrando reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cleto Arias. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquiles FC's zone, Raul Perrando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cleto Arias came out of the goal and Raul Perrando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Raul Perrando to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Justino Otoniel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranquiles FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tacura the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Mergildo in the 57th minute of play forced Ranquiles FC's goalkeeper Cleto Arias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tacura walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
