The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iván De la Peña in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ron Falkingham saved Manantial from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván De la Peña in the 11th minute of play forced Manantial's goalkeeper Ron Falkingham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Guillermo Barros Schelotto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manantial's Ron Falkingham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Barros Schelotto in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Maximo Arce left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Victor F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience was convinced that Iván De la Peña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ron Falkingham was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Abel Peru hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iván De la Peña in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ron Falkingham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute Maximo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Falkingham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes, Iván De la Peña made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Manantial's Ron Falkingham tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Iván De la Peña put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Ron Falkingham. 70 minutes into the match, Iván De la Peña dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ron Falkingham, 0-7. Guillermo Barros Schelotto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor F.C. were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Manantial's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flavio Artaldo took the corner. With a little luck, Manantial's Ron Falkingham got control of the ball when Guillermo Barros Schelotto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Victor F.C.'s Guillermo Barros Schelotto got a free kick in the 95th minute. Aztore Sagaseta hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Victor F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
