Santamarina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Victor F.C. the free kick. Melchor Oihan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iván De la Peña in the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Iván De la Peña put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Melchor Oihan. After some careless play in the Santamarina defense, Iván De la Peña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melchor Oihan. The Santamarina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melchor Oihan should have stopped the shot. If Maximiliano Salbatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Melchor Oihan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maximo Arce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 42 minute of play. Melchor Oihan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guillermo Barros Schelotto went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score.

Camilo Serafo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Iván De la Peña who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santamarina's Melchor Oihan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 60 minutes of play, Victor F.C.'s Guillermo Barros Schelotto made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melchor Oihan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the game, Victor F.C.'s Guillermo Barros Schelotto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melchor Oihan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. The audience was convinced that Iván De la Peña's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melchor Oihan was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 71st minute, Guillermo Barros Schelotto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melchor Oihan was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. Gabriel Berdaitz lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 76 played minutes Santamarina got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Berdaitz. 82 minutes into the game, Victor F.C.'s Ambrosio Jaunti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melchor Oihan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 15-0. 86 minutes into the game, Maximo Arce threw the ball into play from the sideline. Santamarina's Maximiliano Salbatore quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Guillermo Barros Schelotto came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Victor F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Barros Schelotto couldn't finish the play. Melchor Oihan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Barros Schelotto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored 16-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Melchor Oihan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Victor F.C. fully deserved thier win.
