The supporters of Il Catenaccio booed when Pasillios AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Gumaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Gentza in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Errando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Il Catenaccio's Justo Jeraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Laurin in the 40th minute of play. Maximiliano Gabirel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Justo Jeraldo made a huge save. Ambrosio Cristofol hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Loiola in the 46th minute of play forced Il Catenaccio's goalkeeper Justo Jeraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Gentza made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Il Catenaccio's zone, Maximiliano Gabirel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Jeraldo came out of the goal and Maximiliano Gabirel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pasillios AFC's Domingos Gumaro got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Domingos Gumaro off the ground.
