Boca FC's Virgilio Damario got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Benvide in the 40th minute of the match. Virgilio Loi scored 0-5 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquiles Mino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
