Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raul Adrio got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Xerez booed when Club Atlético Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Min didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Talleres defense, Raul Adrio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Braulio Gil. The Club Atlético Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Braulio Gil should have stopped the shot. Glenn Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Braulio Gil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tomás Loren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xerez's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Loren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Gil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Xerez fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Xerez's Raul Adrio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cleto Veronica came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Talleres's Reynaldo Min. But to his dismay, Reynaldo Min quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 20 minutes, Raul Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Xerez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Adrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Talleres's Sixto Foro got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 29th minute, Glenn Hart made a precise shot to the right of Braulio Gil. Club Atlético Talleres's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 34th play minute Reynaldo Min came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cleto Veronica. 2-5. 37 minutes into the game, Xerez's Tomás Loren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Braulio Gil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Aquilino Marko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Braulio Gil. Club Atlético Talleres's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Adrio came free, but Braulio Gil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Loren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braulio Gil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Aquilino Marko kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 53 played minutes, Club Atlético Talleres's Emanuel Betadur shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cleto Veronica came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Talleres reached it. Cleto Karlo kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Tomás Loren suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 60 minutes, Felix Palban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Talleres and the Xerez players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Club Atlético Talleres getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Felix Palban hit a great ball. Raul Adrio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Braulio Gil made a huge save. When Luciano Urbasa came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Xerez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Urbasa couldn't finish the play. Segundo Johans's late challenge caught a Xerez's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Segundo Johans helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Atlético Talleres getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Segundo Johans hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Talleres's zone, Glenn Hart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Gil came out of the goal and Glenn Hart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Glenn Hart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Raul Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlético Talleres's Braulio Gil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Hart in the 85th minute of play. Glenn Hart was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 90th minute, Fausto Markel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xerez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-8. In the 95th minute, Glenn Hart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Xerez walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
