After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vizcarra! Cayetano Ihazintu shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of megavalen booed when Vizcarra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Pietro didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cecilio Colas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Ihazintu in the 80th minute of play. Cecilio Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Bazil in the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th match minute, Vizcarra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Quintana to maneuver through the defense. Anibal Quintana kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Cecilio Colas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Ihazintu in the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Ihazintu in the 95th minute of play forced Vizcarra's goalkeeper Cecilio Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Ihazintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Colas having to interfere.
