The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Lixandro charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Lixandro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, RocaFC's Jonathan Lixandro got a free kick in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, RocaFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Fernandes came free, but Fabricio Ponciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabricio Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Medina in the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute XEI NEI XE FC were awarded a corner. Vladimiro Turi went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Vladimiro Turi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabricio Ponciano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Oscar Gombal made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Nereo Ostargi sent off a good shot on target. Nereo Ostargi spun around in front of the goal 27 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of XEI NEI XE FC's goal. In the 35thth minute of the game Hermengildo Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RocaFC's Fabricio Ponciano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oscar Gombal came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by RocaFC's Jonathan Lixandro. But to his dismay, Jonathan Lixandro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Jonathan Lixandro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RocaFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Lixandro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the RocaFC defense, Genaro Medina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabricio Ponciano. The RocaFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabricio Ponciano should have stopped the shot. Hermengildo Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabricio Ponciano came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by XEI NEI XE FC's Genaro Medina. But to his dismay, Genaro Medina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of XEI NEI XE FC booed when RocaFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Lixandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabricio Ponciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Barros in the 95th minute of play. RocaFC were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after XEI NEI XE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abel Sá took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Abel Sá got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oscar Gombal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
