An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Barros in the 13th minute of play forced Racing's goalkeeper Fabian Assmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Racing got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Jago. When Nereo Ostargi came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the RocaFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Ostargi couldn't finish the play. Ulises Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Fernando Rosio charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Rosio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Racing booed when RocaFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Rosio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabricio Ponciano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nereo Ostargi to make the kick off. Racing's Lino Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the RocaFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Racing.
