After 4 played minutes Mauro Noe could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Quijano FC's Rigoberto Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Turi in the 14th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, David Gorri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quijano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Gorri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Gombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Quijano FC defense, Genaro Medina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Etxahun. The Quijano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Etxahun should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Quijano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Medina came free, but Rigoberto Etxahun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Mauro Noe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Gombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Gombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Gorri in the 42nd minute. When Vladimiro Turi fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XEI NEI XE FC's protests and gave Vladimiro Turi a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot 46 in the game by Mauro Noe from a close distance when the talented Oscar Gombal managed to make a qualified save. XEI NEI XE FC's players were relieved. After 47 played minutes XEI NEI XE FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Fernandes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermengildo Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Fernandes in the 60th minute of play forced Quijano FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Noe in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Gombal saved XEI NEI XE FC from getting behind. Rigoberto Etxahun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When David Gorri came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Quijano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Gorri couldn't finish the play. Rigoberto Etxahun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Fernandes in the 89th minute of the match. Rigoberto Etxahun made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Genaro Medina sent off a good shot on target. Rigoberto Etxahun didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Mauro Noe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
