The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonathan Lixandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Lixandro in the 10th minute of play forced Quijano FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Etxahun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Etxahun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Ulises Santana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RocaFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 19th minute, Jonathan Lixandro made a precise shot to the right of Rigoberto Etxahun. Quijano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 22nd match minute, RocaFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Ostargi to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Nereo Ostargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Mauro Noe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quijano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Noe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabricio Ponciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Noe to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Natalio Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Rigoberto Etxahun as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 67th minute, Pablo Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Nereo Ostargi took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Rigoberto Etxahun to make any attempt to save it. Natalio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Rigoberto Etxahun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RocaFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
