Cirilo Nuno was slow to take the kick. During this time The Falkland Islands's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Cirilo Nuno got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Oscar Gombal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Astigar in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Gombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Txindoki hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Oscar Gombal made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jacinto Astigar sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, XEI NEI XE FC's Arturo Beat got a free kick in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, XEI NEI XE FC's goalkeeper Oscar Gombal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Lucero. In the 20th minute, Jacinto Astigar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Gombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Astigar in the 22nd minute of the match. In the last second Oscar Gombal throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jacinto Astigar in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Arturo Beat tried in the game's 26th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Oscar Gombal. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. Genaro Medina scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Txaran, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, The Falkland Islands's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Medina came free, but Fausto Txaran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Astigar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oscar Gombal was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Hermengildo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herminio Lucero got free with Oscar Gombal in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Astigar in the 42nd minute of play forced XEI NEI XE FC's goalkeeper Oscar Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermengildo Fernandes was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Astigar in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Gombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Medina got free with Fausto Txaran in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genaro Medina hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the XEI NEI XE FC defense, Jacinto Astigar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Gombal. The XEI NEI XE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Gombal should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Hermengildo Fernandes took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Fausto Txaran to make any attempt to save it. Jacinto Astigar struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Oscar Gombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Falkland Islands. 71 minutes into the match, XEI NEI XE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Astigar came free, but Oscar Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Astigar in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Gombal saved XEI NEI XE FC from getting behind. The Falkland Islands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cirilo Nuno in the 76th minute. Arturo Beat tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Oscar Gombal. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-2 in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Astigar in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Gombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 5-2 when Jacinto Astigar sped through XEI NEI XE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Gombal. The Falkland Islands's Fausto Txaran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Fernandes in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Txaran. The Falkland Islands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermengildo Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Fausto Txaran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 89 minutes into the game, The Falkland Islands's Jacinto Astigar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oscar Gombal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. Jacinto Astigar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Txaran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Fernandes in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Herminio Lucero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Many of XEI NEI XE FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. XEI NEI XE FC may have spent more time on the ball, but The Falkland Islands were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
