The audience thought a goal was coming when Braian Romero got free with Ezequiel Avellaneda in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, CAYASTA II's Francisco Nesto got a free kick in the 15th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Reynaldo Enekoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simogasta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Enekoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CAYASTA II's Ezequiel Avellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Coekx in the 21st minute of play. Filip Kaczanka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Nesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CAYASTA II's Ezequiel Avellaneda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save CAYASTA II from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the game, Bill Coekx cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ezequiel Avellaneda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Simogasta FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Francisco Rik hit a great ball. In the 29th minute Herminio Argider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Kaczanka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ezequiel Avellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Enekoitz in the 31st minute of play. Clifford Hands hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. CAYASTA II's Ezequiel Avellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Estavan in the 63rd minute of play. Paul Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filip Kaczanka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Enekoitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ezequiel Avellaneda. CAYASTA II's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Enekoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Filip Kaczanka was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paul Batistuta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-3 in the 86 minute of play. In the 91st minute, Daniel Chihaia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ezequiel Avellaneda was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-3. Simogasta FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
