The audience was convinced that Basilio Dabi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ildefonso Ikatz was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. But to his dismay, Hernan Mendez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Basilio Dabi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ulises Oriche made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceferino Formerio in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute Hernan Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Oriche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd play minute Ceferino Formerio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ulises Oriche. 0-5. Faraday FC's Arturo Sanson got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Faraday FC's zone, Basilio Dabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ildefonso Ikatz came out of the goal and Basilio Dabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faraday FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
