Kalju Kuul was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. AVV Soldati's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalju Kuul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AVV Soldati's Esteve Salomone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save AVV Soldati from getting a goal against them. If Artemio Lizardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Sebastian Maurin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute Josías Burgos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Tirso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AVV Soldati walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
