Spectators: 7443 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fausto Cutberto kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teo Oliverio in the 8th minute of play forced 11 Leones de Zion's goalkeeper Alberto Cordera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Cordera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Gonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Mario Gonzo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Cordera was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Miñones's Rogelio Natanael got a free kick in the 17th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severiano Maldonado during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ciriaco Maurino scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Godfredo Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Mario Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Natanael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in 11 Leones de Zion's zone, Teo Oliverio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Cordera came out of the goal and Teo Oliverio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Candido Maurino struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Alberto Cordera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miñones. Mario Gonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogelio Natanael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alberto Cordera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mario Gonzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Cordera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Maldonado in the 51st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramon Jago during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th minute Ciriaco Maurino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Marquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Cutberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Godfredo Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Rogelio Natanael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severiano Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Cordera having to interfere. Francisco Frisco kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, 11 Leones de Zion's goalkeeper Alberto Cordera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Gonzo. In the 67th minute, Severiano Maldonado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antonio Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Antonio Santos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. With his leg Alberto Cordera managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Miñones's Mario Gonzo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mario Gonzos short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Alberto Cordera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Teo Oliverio struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Alberto Cordera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miñones. In the 80th minute, Miñones's Severiano Maldonado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Cordera. Alberto Cordera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 84 minutes in the game, Severiano Maldonado fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alberto Cordera having to interfere. Rogelio Natanael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Severiano Maldonado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Miñones got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Natanael. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Miñones players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
