Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tomás Fiz took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Pipinas's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Bastia came free, but Javier Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elias Basajaun hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Pipinas's Javier Haritzeder got control of the ball when Miguel Bastia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Miguel Bastia could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Javier Haritzeder however easily saved by the left post. In the 12th minute Tomás Fiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Fiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 19th minute, Apolo Mergildo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Pipinas's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Mergildo came free, but Javier Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Pipinas's Tomás Fiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Reyes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Tomás Fiz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Runefaust's Victor Reyes. Victor Reyes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 34 played minutes, Runefaust's Faustino Estefan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Javier Haritzeder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Runefaust reached it. In the 35th minute, Faustino Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Runefaust was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Tanio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Benat in the 41st minute of play forced Runefaust's goalkeeper Victor Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pipinas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Astor Benat in the 42nd minute. The corner led to Pipinas's Elias Basajaun getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of Runefaust booed when Pipinas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Gines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Miguel Bastia made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Pipinas's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Mergildo came free, but Javier Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Haritzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Mergildo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Miguel Bastia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Pipinas's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Mergildo came free, but Javier Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Pipinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Dabi to maneuver through the defense. If Miguel Bastia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Apolo Mergildo took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier Haritzeder. Javier Haritzeder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Miguel Bastia might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Javier Haritzeder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Bastia ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, Pipinas's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Bastia came free, but Javier Haritzeder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Tomás Fiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pipinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Fiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Aldo Tanio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Fiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When Miguel Bastia came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Runefaust fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Bastia couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pipinas's goalkeeper Javier Haritzeder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomás Fiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Runefaust fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! When the match was over Pipinas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Runefaust throughout the match.
