An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Dei in the 18th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Everardo Oxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bjørn Ragnarsson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Everardo Oxel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Dei in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Dominguito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Isaio to maneuver through the defense. Dominguito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Pablo Ur scored to the left of an out of position Hector Urre, making the score, 3-0. In the 31st minute, Albano Abadia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Urre was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Boca Juniors's Albano Abadia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hector Urre. That made the score 5-0 after 34 minutes of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Haroldo Columbo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dominguito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Columbo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesar Dei to make the kick off. Hector Urre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Ur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genaro Tibalt during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Dominguito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Tibalt to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Dominguito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Bladi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pablo Ur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Urre having to interfere. Hector Urre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Ur, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Boca Juniors walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
