They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hector Aurre to strike the kick off in the second half. The tension between the Tasmania Futbol Club and the Atletico Atlas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th minute, Adrian Gaur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Atletico Atlas FC's Leandro Ibañez threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Igor Anaya, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Atletico Atlas FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
