The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, ROJO's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Horado came free, but Aldo Kaxen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aldo Kaxen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergio Rayman's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. The corner ended in Sergio Rayman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ROJO's Aldo Kaxen did a great save. 19 minutes into the match, Eulalio Quilo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Horquilla's Dante Leizarraga. Dante Leizarraga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ladislao Jokin's late challenge caught a Horquilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ladislao Jokin helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes ROJO got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Jokin. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horquilla's goalkeeper Dante Leizarraga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aldo Kaxen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

ROJO made a substitution. Jan Huijsmans replaced Eulalio Quilo. Tymoteusz Byczewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Rayman in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Kaxen saved ROJO from getting behind. Aldo Kaxen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Luix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th match minute, Horquilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Dominguez to maneuver through the defense. Dante Leizarraga had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jan Huijsmans from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 61st minute of the match ROJO got a corner. Horquilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Benet ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Horquilla's Francisco Luix got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Tymoteusz Byczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROJO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tymoteusz Byczewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Yu Cheng Kun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ROJO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horquilla the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in ROJO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! ROJO:s Aldo Kaxen showed great skill when he stopped Tobias Horado:s penalty. Tobias Horado took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aldo Kaxen. Aldo Kaxen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Tobias Horado got free in front of the goal in the 74th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Aldo Kaxen was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Francisco Luix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aldo Kaxen was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Luix in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Kaxen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dante Leizarraga made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Tymoteusz Byczewski sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Samuel Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to ROJO getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Oscar Raymond hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Benet in the 85th minute of play forced Horquilla's goalkeeper Dante Leizarraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Horquilla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Leizarraga should have stopped the shot. The ROJO players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
