The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. San Vicente Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Oroitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Vicente Fútbol Club's Adolfo Oroitz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Carlos Oriche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raul Acosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Che having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Maule in the 29th minute of play forced San Vicente Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Denis Che to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salinas FC were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after San Vicente Fútbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Faustino Txindoki took the corner. Carlos Oriche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Lohitzun having to interfere. Raul Acosta kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Elvio Lohitzun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Oroitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Oroitz to make the kick off. Higinio Salvadore hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raul Acosta in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Che saved San Vicente Fútbol Club from getting behind. Denis Che made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Maule in the 63rd minute. In the 64th match minute, San Vicente Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Vigil to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, Salinas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Tab came free, but Elvio Lohitzun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dario Galindo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. When Augusto Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Vicente Fútbol Club's protests and gave Augusto Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in San Vicente Fútbol Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Epifanio Tab took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elvio Lohitzun. Elvio Lohitzun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Epifanio Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
