In the 7th minute, Arjen van den Brink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergey Filippov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Bento, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Sergey Filippov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorino Txaran in the 10th minute of play. If Victorino Txaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Bermudez struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Sergey Filippov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. In the 16th minute, Humberto Iraitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galatasaray's Guaberto Bermudez got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavi Hernanes in the 21st minute of play forced La Matanza Club's goalkeeper Sergey Filippov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Guaberto Bermudez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 28th minute, Guaberto Bermudez made a precise shot to the right of Sergey Filippov. La Matanza Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Romeo Petruț dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alin Onuț, 1-2. 37 minutes into the match, La Matanza Club's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Bento came free, but Sergey Filippov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Guaberto Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergey Filippov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergey Filippov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjen van den Brink in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Bento in the 46th minute of play forced La Matanza Club's goalkeeper Sergey Filippov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eriberto Oviedo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes La Matanza Club got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Roano. 61 minutes into the match, Teodoro Bento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergey Filippov. La Matanza Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Bento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Franco Frias hit a great ball. Nunez Ezkerra charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nunez Ezkerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, La Matanza Club's Nunez Ezkerra got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 75th minute, Guaberto Bermudez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Teodoro Bento in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergey Filippov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Teodoro Bento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Sergey Filippov made a huge save. Teodoro Bento's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sergey Filippov firmly grabbed it by the left post. Teodoro Bento took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergey Filippov. Sergey Filippov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Luis Quinten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Matanza Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 97th minute, when Guaberto Bermudez scored to the left of an out of position Sergey Filippov, making the score, 1-6. Galatasaray's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
