Eduardo Magdaleno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Normando having to interfere. Ciénega's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bayauca FC the free kick. A collision led to Ciénega getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Romulo Tancredo hit a great ball. Conrado Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Vito in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Tancredo in the 46th minute of play forced Bayauca FC's goalkeeper Conrado Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Bayauca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Tancredo came free, but Conrado Diegotxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ciénega's Leonardo Maria got a free kick in the 54th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bayauca FC's Eduardo Magdaleno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luisito Normando. Luisito Normando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bayauca FC. If Artemio Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Leonardo Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ciénega were victorious despite being under pressure from Bayauca FC for much of the match.
